Love it, it was so easy to plug and use. Bought it to replace a dead DVD box, and it is wonderful. The only negative, which could be solved if I moved it to a lower location, is that sometimes the remote does not engage the player.

    1.0 out of 5 stars It's still GPX, January 7, 2010

I have never had a good experience with GPX products. They seem to make the best looking electronics for a very cheap price, but don't expect it to last long.

I have had many GPX products over the years from boomboxes, walkmans, portable CD players to alarm clocks and now a DVD Player. I have vowed in the past to stay away from anything GPX and I would advise everyone to do the same. Sadly, I recieved this gem of a DVD player as a Christmas gift. I saw the new GPX logo and was hoping that after a few years they have changed. They haven't. It's stil the same old GPX electronic that you can pick up at your closest Walgreen's or Family Dollar. Worthless.

As I said before, I recieved this on Christmas day, after watching 3 movies, I turned it back on New Year's Eve and was getting the "Wrong Disc" error message. I tried 3 discs, all with the same result (all 3 played perfectly on another DVD player). On New Years day, it kept saying "No Disc". Like I said, same old... Read more

Very frustrated with this device. We have two of them and the same problem with both: they don't play DVDs! It's a breeze to set up, but out of four discs that I put in, only one of them played. The rest wouldn't load and the "wrong disc" error message would pop up. This isn't because the DVD's were bad quality or scratched either. Two of them were in new condition and they all were playable on the PS2 and laptop. This really is the worst DVD player I've encountered, and I thought our previous Cyberhome player was bad.
